Problem

In the past, demand forecasting was computed manually on a worksheet, with no statistical models employed. Inputs from the teams of Demand Planning, Sales, and Marketing were communicated through various media (Viber, email, phone) which made it harder to consolidate data. At the same time, Demand Planning KPIs such as forecast accuracy were not consistently monitored.

Our Impact

With the help of OmniQuest and Anaplan, we are able to employ statistical forecasting methods that generate sound forecasts from historical data. These forecasts then created the opportunity to have more analytical reviews which then fostered stronger collaboration within the various relevant business units. Confidence level is up in demand forecasting. We are also able to track our KPIs regularly.
